KAMUI’s theme for Festival Fringe 2008 is “the soul of the Japanese samurai.” The troupe will embody real samurai soul and bring an artistic and action-filled show to life with authentic performances of martial arts and intense battles among legendary sword masters.

The show also includes a humorous performance in which some members of the audience are invited onto the stage. Samurai Spirit ends with a special piece featuring the performers in black suits interacting in a beautiful dancing-style reminiscent of the fight scenes from “Kill Bill Vol. I”. A wide variety of weapons will be used in the show including Japanese swords, long-handled swords, double swords, spears, as well as Japanese fans and umbrellas.
