Productions from Lynn Ruth Miller
The Tooth Fairy returns for her third year to share stories that dare you to love who you are. ANOTHER SIDE OF THE MIRROR is the answer to all those enthusiastic audiences who asked for more stories from Miller’s unusual life after they enjoyed AN AUDIENCE WITH LYNN RUTH MILLER in 2007 and FAREWELL TO THE TOOTH FAIRY, in 2006, both Fringe Festival hits. These vignettes create an unforgettable and inspirational one-woman show that encourages everyone to have the courage to create his own destiny. Lynn Ruth Miller’s storytelling shows left Edinburgh to entertain enthusiastic audiences in San Francisco’s Off Market Theater in the fall of 2006, and continued to enchant lovers of the spoken word at a variety of venues throughout the San Francisco Bay Area culminating in her Sunday Night Spring Storytelling Series at the Red Vic Peace Café in that city’s famed Haight/Asbury district. She has presented her stories in the San Francisco Free Civic Theater , at The Rogue Festival in Fresno California and as part of the Marin Fringe Festival in Mill Valley, California. This new production combines childhood memories from the thirties and forties with poignant biographical stories tinged with Miller’s wry humor and off-the-wall take on life.
The stories presented in this production were selected from THOUGHTS WHILE WALKING THE DOG and MORE THOUGHTS WHILE WALKING THE DOG, Miller’s acclaimed collection of columns that originally appeared in The Pacifica Tribune. The show is 50 minutes of laughter and tears seasoned with an unvarnished dose of reality. It is everyone’s story, old as time and new as tomorrow. . . Not to be missed. "A perfect mix of meaningful laughs and moving affection presented by a truly believable performer,” says The Edinburgh Evening News of her 2006 performance.
“Everyone will appreciate the play’s universality," says San Francisco’s Bay Times. "Ripe with wit and wisdom, Miller performs with the warm sincerity of a savvy lady who has learned many of life’s valuable lessons.”
