Audience members are welcomed onstage to participate in this fun-fuelled family adventure suitable for all ages! 'SME' serves up an action-packed intro for kids as well as a fast-paced refresher for adults (Don't remember Henry V? See it again-- in 60 seconds!).

Background

This Bridge Theatre, a company comprised of new theatre artists, was formed with the intention of creating a community of young theatre professionals who could support each other, grow as an ensemble, and tackle challenging pieces of theatre. Many of the current members are graduate students in Universities around the United States including The National Theatre Conservatory at the Denver Center (Sean Lyons director Uncle Vanya) and The Cleveland Play House and Case Western University (Zac Hoogendyk director The Good Doctor, Shakespeare Made Easy). Many members of the company have performed in Edinburgh during the summers of 2004 and 2006 in Pepperdine University's productions of Moby Dick Rehearsed, Necessary Targets, and The Grapes of Wrath (garnering the title 'Best Looking Cast' at the festival in 2004).

This Bridge is producing four shows at the Fringe this summer, each focusing on either Shakespeare or Chekhov as the company sees them: currently relevant, oftentimes challenging and always wildly entertaining.
